Position Summary:
We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven Director of Digital Marketplaces to lead Halo’s marketplace business across Amazon 3P, Chewy, TikTok Shop, eBay, and other emerging third-party platforms. You’ll own the P&L, operations, and strategic marketing plans for these channels, driving both top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability, while ensuring a consistent, elevated brand presence across the digital shelf. You’re a passionate leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, and you believe dogs make everything better.
This is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, operations, and digital strategy. You’ll report to the VP of Omnichannel Retail and collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization, including Paid Media, Creative, CX, Operations, and Analytics, to fuel sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:
Marketplace Sales Leadership & Channel Strategy
- Own the strategy, media forecasting, and execution across all digital marketplace platforms, including Amazon, Chewy, TikTok Shop, eBay, and new partners.
- Lead marketplace annual and quarterly planning cycles; establish performance targets and revenue forecasts aligned with Halo’s growth goals, including sell-through goals, promotions, and product positioning.
- Create differentiated go-to-market strategies by platform, maximizing Halo’s visibility, conversion, and customer acquisition.
- Serve as the owner of all marketplace operations including pricing, merchandising, compliance, and product catalog health.
- Cultivate retailer and platform relationships to influence assortment, secure placements, and unlock cooperative marketing opportunities.
- Monitor and improve platform health and compliance, including operational performance and policy adherence.
- Oversee paid media strategies to optimize ROAS and contribution margin. (e.g., Amazon Ads, TikTok Shop promotions, Chewy co-op).
- Guide the development of high-converting PDPs, A+ content, Brand Stores, SEO/keyword strategies, and review generation tactics.
- Develop and execute full-funnel marketing campaigns tailored to each marketplace platform.
- Partner with internal creative and product teams to ensure tailored and timely content for platform promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Lead execution for new product launches across all platforms.
- Lead agency/vendor relationships for marketplace ads and operational tools; serve as main point of contact for reps from Amazon, TikTok, Chewy, and others.
- Lead and grow a high-performing digital sales & marketing team; drive a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Balance team focus between long-term strategic planning and rapid response to business shifts.
- Translate insights into strategic actions, identifying high-growth opportunities, diagnosing issues, and proactively optimizing execution.
- Deliver reporting and business updates to senior leadership, grounded in performance metrics and financial accountability.
- 8–10+ years of experience managing marketplace sales and strategy, ideally in consumer tech, pet, or omnichannel brands.
- Expertise in Amazon 3P operations, marketing, and compliance (Seller Central); strong knowledge of Chewy, TikTok Shop, eBay, or other marketplace platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing digital marketing or sales teams.
- Proven track record of owning a P&L and driving measurable revenue growth.
- Hands-on experience with marketplace advertising platforms (Amazon Ads, TikTok, etc.) and catalog tools (e.g., Salsify, ChannelAdvisor/Rithum).
- Strong analytical acumen and fluency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools like Looker or Tableau a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and agency partners.
- Clear and confident communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Able to complete multiple tasks under pressure, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Able to work effectively individually and in a team setting; interact effectively with different levels of the organization.
